Futures Close Report: 11th December 2017

Ukraine winter grains reported 46.8% in good condition – better than at the same time last year (38%)  with planting complete across 6.9 million hectares slightly lower than the  7.2 million hectares planned.

France’s farm ministry estimated the area planted with winter soft wheat for the 2018 harvest at 5.028 million hectares.  In oilseeds, the farm ministry estimated the winter rapeseed area for next year’s harvest at 1.5 million hectares, up 9.5% from this year’s harvested area.
