Futures Close Report 13th August
UkrAgroConsult raised on Tuesday its Ukraine’s 2018 maize harvest forecast to a record 28.5 million tonnes from the previous estimate of 27.3 million tonnes. It also increased Ukrainian 2018/19 maize export forecast to 22.5 million tonnes from 21.0 million tonnes a month ago. If good weather conditions continue they have not ruled out a further increase in this figure.
USDA Crop Condition
- US corn 70% good / excellent down from 71% last week;
- US soybeans 66% good / excellent down from 67% last week;
- US spring wheat 75% good / excellent up from 74% last week;.
- US winter wheat harvest all but complete at 94% and Spring wheat 35 % harvested so far.
