Despite weather problems seen in the US, funds maintain their short position in CBOT futures. Although funds have reduced their overall short position.

Floods across the US mid-west has halted production of bio-ethanol.  As transport of the raw material and finished product by rail is problematic.  US produces bio-ethanol from corn (maize).
