Strikes in Argentina by both public and private port inspectors supportive of Soybean markets as exports from Arg are effectively halted across the 48 hour strike window.
Egypt’s state grain buyer GASC bought 180,000 tonnes of wheat in an international purchase tender, including 120,000 tonnes of Russian and 60,000 tonnes of Romanian origin. US origin was offered but uncompetitive.
UK domestic markets relatively quiet with little old crop trade reported. Farmers still reluctant sellers. Currency exchange is where the volatility rests at the moment as markets digest and respond to the plethora of general election polls.
