US dollar has fallen to its lowest levels in 3 years. US markets will be hoping for increases in exports for wheat / soybeans as a result. However, Brazil soybean harvest is just commencing. Anecdotally, Brazil farmers forward commitment of sales is relatively low for new crop positions. Farmers in the Mato Grosso region have sold around 42% of their estimated 30.6 million tonne crop – this is approx 13% below the average level for the past 5 years.
